Our Facebook page is a place for people who have "liked" The Climate Institute to engage with us and with one another.
It is not the prerogative of The Climate Institute or social media in general to prevent people from interacting within this community. We actively encourage differing opinions – but not to the detriment or disturbance of the community and its individual members.
There will always be a few individuals who, from time to time, post content that falls into the following categories:
Content is irrelevant to the original post
Spam
Abusive or seeks to damage the reputation and work of The Climate Institute
Abusive or threatening to the The Climate Institute community or individuals within it, including profanity.
Distributing false and/or misleading information.
Advertising or promotion of products and/or services or repeatedly posting the same post.
When we see content that falls into one or more of the categories above we will remove the comment and post a notice of this with "We have removed a comment from this thread that was not in accordance with our comment policy. For further information, please refer to the info tab."
In accordance with Facebook’s Terms of Service (http://www.facebook.com/terms.php), we will delete comments. If an individual’s disruptive behaviour persists, then we may block that user from participating.
The Climate Institute seeks to protect and maintain the integrity of this robust and committed community, all we ask is that posts remain respectful and relevant.
